New Autumn Nature Photography Competition Now On!

The annual Phibsboro Village Tidy Towns photography competition was launched at Buzzfest last weekend. The competition aims to draw our attention to the wealth of nature hidden in plain sight here in our urban village.

This year we have decided to run the competition in autumn to help people see the beautiful colour changes that nature brings, and to take advantage of the fact that insects like spiders and moths are also more visible at this time of the year.

The three categories are:

  • Native Trees & Plants

  • Insects

  • Native Animals & Birds

All photos entered must be taken in Phibsborough by amateur photographers aged 18+, and submitted via email, or DM through Facebook, Twitter/X or Instagram, by 31st October 2023.

The competition will be judged by Robert Keogh of Dublin Camera Club, and the prizes are kindly sponsored by Kings Inns.

Thanks to King’s Inns for offering to sponsor the photographic competition. King’s Inns is the oldest law school in Ireland and provides a variety of courses for lawyers and non-lawyers, including an Advanced Diploma in Planning and Environmental Law that is currently accepting applications.
